Linda Shirley Watts

Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Baldwin. A reception will follow immediately on Wednesday and will be held at 102 Weco Lane in Broussard.

Linda was born March 24, 1948 in Waynesboro, Mississippi to the late David Ralph Shirley and to Mrs. Annie Fountain Jaques. She was the business office manager for Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City for many years. Outside of her work, she enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she spoiled and adored dearly. Linda will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband William A. “Bill” Watts of New Iberia; her children, Kimberly Hayes Andrus and husband Bryant of Luling, and her son, John Jason Hebert and wife Jennifer of Broussard; her mother, Annie Fountain Jaques and husband Robert of Baldwin; her grandchildren, Bryant Andrus, II, Justin Hayes, Victoria Hayes, Jonathan Thiessen, Jillian Hebert and Stephanie Watts; two great grandchildren, Sophie Cruice and Autum Hayes; step-sons, Bruce Watts of Connecticut and Michael Watts of Marthas Vinyard; and her brothers, Tom Shirley of Glencoe and Robert Jaques Jr. of Belle Chase.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Watts.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Linda’s name to the Mary Bird Perkin’s Cancer Center, 4950 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
