Lloyd Percy Allen

One of four children, Lloyd was born on November 8, 2015 to Lloyd A. and Turah Burris Allen in Stephen, Arkansas. He married and lived in Texas before eventually moving to Louisiana and finally settled in New Iberia with his family.

Mr. Allen began his career in the oilfield with Dresser Industries and worked the company for 41 years. In 1991, when Dresser Industries merged with Halliburton, he continued his employment with them for another eight years until retiring. Throughout his career, Mr. Allen worked his way through the ranks to become manager.

Lloyd enjoyed gardening, especially vegetables. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma Null Allen; son, Steve Allen and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Rachel Allen, Monica Trivanovich, Steven Allen, Ryan Allen, and Dustin Courrege; great grandchildren, Dylan Trivanovich, Eli Trivanovich, and Mason Evans; and sister-in-law, Carol Peter.

He was preceded in death by his son, Marcus Glynn Allen; parents, Lloyd A. and Truah Allen; and siblings, Myrtis Browning, Ezelle Martel, and John Allen.
