Lucette Broussard Holland

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Lucette “Lou” Broussard Holland, age 85, at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Ed Degeyter and Fr. Ralph Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday until service time.

A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Holland passed away at 4:15 am on Sunday, September 16, 2012.

Mrs. Holland retired from South Central Bell after 35 years of service. She was secretary/treasurer of the local C.W.A. Union for 25 years.

She is survived by her brother, Dickie Broussard of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Holland; parents, Felias J. Broussard, Sr. and Lonnie Landry Broussard; paternal grandparents, Louis Oscar Broussard and Azema Migues Broussard; maternal grandparents, Jules Landry and Ella French Landry; brother, F.J. Broussard, Jr.; sister, Joycelyn Broussard Theriot; brother-in-law, Earl Theriot and sisters-in-law, Melvoila “Tuttie” Broussard and Marlene Broussard.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Iberia Parish Humane Society in Lou’s name.
