A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home for Michael Charles Robicheaux. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Msgr. J. Robert Romero, Pastor of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church will officiate.
The family requests visitation be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Evangeline Funeral Home from 9:00 am until time of service.
Michael was born on November 28, 1950 in New Iberia, LA to the late Mitchell and Mary Ann Delcambre Robicheaux. He passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 12:15 pm at Iberia Medical Center at the age of 72.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Theresa Singleton Robicheaux, his daughter, Shawna R. Primeaux and husband Jacob, whom are anxiously awaiting the arrival of twins; one brother, Gregory Robicheaux and wife Susan and two sisters, Nanette Tutt and husband Kyng and Brenda Rouly and husband Kenneth.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Tasha Robicheaux; one brother, Mitchell Robicheaux and one sister, Barbara Verret.
A loving husband, father and brother, Michael will be remembered as a hardworking man who adored his family. He was employed as a Supervisor at Bayou Pipe for 47 years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and as an avid sports fan he enjoyed watching the Saints and LSU. He always enjoyed cooking and grilling, after his retirement he really began to experiment with his smoker, allowing him family time on the patio. He will live on his loved ones’ memories for years to come.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Larry Verret, Karl Rouly, Kyle Rouly, Guy Robicheaux, Ian Robicheaux and Butch Duhon. Lawrence Verret and John Funk are honorary pallbearers.
Michael’s family would like to express their gratitude to Shannon, Dr. Kitakule and staff of IMC; Dr. Garzia, Dr. Loor, Hannah, Taz and staff of St. Luke’s Baylor and Dr. Racheal, Dr. Loo, Adriana and staff of Kindred Hospital for the exceptional care and love shown to him.
