

LYDIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Myrna G. Ricard Jeanminette at 10:00 am Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Fr. Gregory Chauvin will be the celebrant. Mrs. Jeanminette will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at St. Nicholas Church on Monday from 8:00 am until time of Mass. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am.
Myrna was born October 6, 1938 in Maringouin to the late Louis Maxie Ricard and Mildred Sigur Ricard, and passed away peacefully Friday, August 25, 2017.
Mrs. Jeanminette was retired from Cardinal Wireline Service with over 20 years of service. She also worked at the school in Grand Marie as a substitute teacher and with the Iberia Parish Assessor’s office. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading and tending to her many flowers. It was said that Myrna could plant a leaf and it would grow into the most beautiful flower. But it was her love of family that was the most important to her. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ernest J. Jeanminette; her three children, Dana P. Coleman and husband Kent of Gainesville, GA, Todd Jeanminette and wife Cindy of Crestview, FL, and Kendall J. Jeaminette and wife Louise of Mobile, AL; her grandchildren, Chloe Jeanminette and Emily Jeanminette; and her sister, Maxine “Micky” Darensburg and husband Wayne of Baton Rouge.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kendall Jeanminette, Joe and Arnell Olivier, Felix Jeanminette, Phillip Delahoussaye, James Olivier and Jordan Grogan. Honorary pallbearers are Todd Jeanminette, Ollie Olivier and George Oliver.
