Myrtle Bush Nussbaumer

Funeral Services for Myrtle Bush Hume Nussbumer, age 87, will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in New Iberia with Reverend Wilmer MacNair officiating. She passed away at her home in New Iberia.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 1st, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia.

Born in Highlands, TX at home; she was one of eleven children. Myrt was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved her family, gardening, sewing and canning. Myrt was courageous and energetic; had perseverance, a great sense of humor and many loyal friends. We love you dearly, mother.

We children have been blessed by our Christian mother; learning generosity, tolerance and fairness from loving intelligence. She is survived by us (four daughters and one son); April K. Lee and husband Jeffrey of Hawi, HI, Dawn M. Suggs and husband Robert of Broussard, Cynthia Hume Pearson and husband Robert of Eddyville, OR, Starr Hume Jappert of Bend, OR, and John A. Hume and wife Nancy of La Mesa, CA; two stepsons, Jonathan Nussbaumer of Ashland, OR and Gary Nussbaumer of Sherwood, OR; one step-daughter, Cathy Nussbaumer of Albany, OR; and brother, Clifford Bush.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Dr. Vincent Hume and John Nussbaumer; parents, Robert Joseph and Pearl Meidmann Bush; and son, Frank Hume.

Memorial contributions may be made in Myrt’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
