Ralph John Ferguson

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Ralph John Ferguson, age 83, at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 am until services.

Mr. Ferguson passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Ralph John Ferguson was born October 24, 1927 to Howard and Pearl Crowson Ferguson in Bayou Chene, LA.

He was retired with 37 years of service from Shell Oil Company as a Drilling Supervisor. Ralph was an avid golfer, and loved reading and listening to music from the 1940’s. Most importantly, he was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend and leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his five children, Wayne Michael Ferguson, Barry Ralph Ferguson, Sheila Ferguson Mankin all of New Iberia, Bonnie Ferguson Segura and husband Richard of Houston, and Susan Ferguson Williams and husband Roy of Nashville; nine grandchildren, Fitzgerald P. “Butch” Pharr, Kimberly Lang, Richard Segura, Jr., Stephanie Ferguson Lepinsky and husband Mike, Laura Ferguson Boies and husband Nick, Heather Jill Williams, Hailey Williams, Alexa Williams and Quinn Williams; nine great grandchildren; and speical friend, "Pinky" Hebert of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Angers Ferguson; daughter, Jill Kathryn Ferguson; granddaughter, Paige Elizabeth Pharr; parents, Howard and Pearl Crowson Ferguson; and his brothers, Howard and Jerry Ferguson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Segura, Jr., Quentin Pharr, Gerald “Doobie” Angers, Mike Lepinsky, Nick Boies and Matt Angers.
