Ronald Lee Castille

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Ronald Lee Castille, age 54, at 2:00 pm Monday, April 29, 2013 at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Gearheard officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday and visitation will continue until service time.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Youngsville, Mr. Castille passed away at 8:15 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Ronald enjoyed and owned race cars. He also loved baseball and watching his children play sports as they were growing up during which time he coached his children’s teams. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons; Rory Castille of Lafayette, Jeremy Castille of Lafayette, daughters; Ashley Castille of Youngsville, Neely Castille of Youngsville, mother; Annie Herpin Castille, brothers; Ricky Castille and companion Sylvia Delome of New Iberia, Wayne Castille and wife Cynthia of Jeanerette, Dale Castille and wife Yolanda of Niceville, FL, Clint Castille and wife Cathy of New Iberia, sisters; Martha Kay Prince and husband Danny of New Iberia, Rita Ann Montet and husband Ricky of Broussard, former wives, Connie Smith of Brookhaven, MS, Gwendolyn Meyers Castille of New Iberia, granddaughters; Rowan Castille, Riley Castile, Taylor Castille, Bailey Castile and dogs, Bagel and Macie.

He was preceded in death by his father; Earl Castille, grandparents; Seva and Albertine Herpin, A.B. and Laticia Castille, sister-in-law; Rhoda Castille and nephew; Nicholas Castille.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Castille, Wayne Castille, Dale Castille, Clint Castille, Brandon Castille and Cory Montet.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Castille’s name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
