Wilfred Conner

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Wilfred Joseph “Will” Conner, age 70, at 10:00 am Friday, August 15, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native of Cameron and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Conner passed away at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center.

Mr. Conner was employed at Burger Chef, now Hardees in New Iberia for more than 32 years. He enjoyed doing crafts, puzzles and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen Lounsberry Conner of New Iberia; one son, Brent James Conner of New Iberia; his father, John M. Conner of New Iberia and one sister, Mona Lou C. Stevens and her husband Ira Stevens, Sr. of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Oline Touchet Conner; his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Conner and one brother, John Baptist Conner.

Pallbearers will be Brent James Conner, Zachary Stevens, Randall Stevens, Craig Stevens, Ira Stevens, Jr. and Chris Stevens.
