Amanda Claire (Venturini) Agathos, born on January 24, 1989, in New London CT, to Robert Venturini and Jennifer (Telage) Venturini, left us on April 6, 2025, at the age of 36. Despite Amanda's time with us being heartbreakingly short, her life was filled with love, laughter, and purpose. At the time of her passing, she was living life to the fullest, surrounded by friends and her loving family, who were the cornerstone of her world.
Amanda was a well-known figure in the New London community. For ten years, Amanda drove for First Student bus company, previously for STA, serving hundreds of New London students in the district and creating bonds with all her students and parents. More recently, she found her calling as an intake coordinator for TVCCA of New London/Norwich. She took great pride in all she did with her newly found profession. In addition, Amanda served countless hours over several years to the New London Youth Football League, volunteering as a cheer coach. The connections she made with the children, parents, and staff will forever be unbreakable.
Amanda's proudest achievements were her children: her daughter, Alexis Venturini; sons, Ahmad Jacob (AJ) Venturini, and Kieryn Hadley, whom she loved fiercely. She met the love of her life, Erotas Agathos, in 2020, and they quickly knew they were meant for each other, marrying in September of that same year. Amanda gained a bonus child, her step-son, Erotas Agathos Jr.
Amanda is survived by her parents and siblings: her sister, Jillian (Venturini) Frost; brothers, Adam, Bobby, Dwayne, Jefferey Venturini. Amanda also leaves behind several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She had a special bond with all her nieces and nephews including Aryanna Venturini. And she loved all her cousins including Melissa Spears, who she was extremely close to growing up. She was pre-deceased by her maternal grandparents, David Telage and Carolyn Davis, with whom she had an extremely close relationship, her nephew, Jayden Venturini, and her best friend growing up, Catherine Elise Brown.
Amanda will be missed immensely by all who knew her. Her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and bright personality will live on in our memories for a lifetime.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 19th, from 1-4 pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London, CT. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after from 4-9 pm at The Polish American Veterans Club, 51 Central Ave., New London, CT.
