Elizabeth Madera Soto

Mrs. Madera was born on July 14, 1948 in San Juan, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Marcelino and Carmen Gloria Cobian Soto. She is predeceased by her husband of 44 years in marriage Edwin Madera Sr., her daughter Michelle Madera and brothers Jose Luis Soto and David Soto.

She was married to Edwin Madera Sr. on July 4, 1970 in Brooklyn, NY. She was homemaker and held various jobs in Groton, New London and Florida. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many. She loved spending time with family and friends. She especially loved family gatherings and was a great cook.

Mrs. Madera is suvived by her son Edwin and wife Sue Madera Jr of Norwich and daughter Cynthia B. Madera of Orlando, FL, eight grandchildren and 4 Brothers Benjamin Soto, Samuel Soto, Marc Soto Sr, and Manuel Soto and 4 sisters Maria Barreto, Rachel Rosario, Gloria Velez, Josie Ortiz

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 6:00 until 7:30 in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. A Service will be held at 7:30 following the calling hours.
