Gertrude Pollard

She was born on July 26, 1933, in New London, the daughter of Olin and Una (Phillips) Patton.

Mrs. Pollard was employed for many years as a nurses' aide at Norwich State Hospital. She loved baking, babies, gardening, sewing, shopping, Western Movies, and road trips. She was loved by many.

She is survived by her children, John Pollard of Groton, Craig Pollard, of Los Angeles, Karl Pollard and his wife Cheryl of Plainfield and Christine Pollard of New London; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Joanne Hall, Jean Spence, Diane Frazier, William, Tommy, Dudley, Phillip, and Ronald Patton.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 18th from 5-7pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at 10am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1650 Rt. 12, Gales Ferry. A graveside service will be on Thursday, June 20th at 10am at Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London.
