Linda Ida Sawicki, 56, of New London sadly passed away on January 26, 2024. Linda was born in the Fort Trumbull area on January 8,1968 to Edwin and Katheryn Sawicki. Sadly she leaves behind her only child who she loved wholeheartedly, Erika Weaver. She is survived by siblings Bonnie McKenzie, of New London, Karen McCabe (James) of Uncasville, Connie McKenzie, New London, Carmel Sawicki, of Bristol Ct and Robert McKenzie (Paula), of Crestview, Fla. and many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. Linda loved her cats and her love for flowers were well known, which is how she landed her first job at Thames Greenery and was a valued employee. Linda graduated 1986 from New London High School and was known for her kind heart, infectious personality and her laughter that definitely captured your attention.
