Maggie L. Sebastian

Groton - Maggie L. Sebastian passed away at her Groton home on Friday, March 24, 2017. Daughter of the late George T. Bryant and Maggie (Moony) Bryant, Maggie grew up in a large family on their farm in Bolivia, N.C.

Always a stylish dresser, Maggie was a lover of flowers. She had a beautiful garden and baked as well (widely known for her delicious pound cake). In years past, she made beautiful quilts for family and friends.

Maggie is survived by her husband, Donald E. Sebastian Sr. of Groton; daughter, Donna M. Sebastian of Windsor; son, Donald E. Sebastian Jr. of West Hartford,; grandson, Julian Rickerson, and great-granddaughter, Ava Rickerson, both of New Britain; and sister, Rhoda Bryant of Mystic.

Services for Maggie will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Fulton Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. Calling hours are from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic.

Repast will be held at the Eastern Pequot Tribal Longhouse in North Stonington.
