Adrian Ace A. McLaughlin Jr.

Adrian A. (Ace) McLaughlin, Jr, a transportation driver, died Sunday of complications from Sickle Cell disease at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was 48. Adrian was a lifelong residence of New Orleans. He graduated from Delgado Community College with an Associates Degree in Communications. He was employed at Slidell Memorial Hospital in the transportation department. Survivors include his father Adrian McLaughlin Sr, his brother Elias (Lee) McLaughlin, his sister Nerissa (Nikki) McLaughlin, nieces Janaye, Sydnee, Kimbreion, Rachael, Kaitlin & Sherial nephews Bryce, Mark & Ethan and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Adrian is preceded in death by his loving mother Elyria Vappie McLaughlin.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Major Catholic Church 3736 Gentilly Blvd on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 12:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date.
