

Beverly Brandon Berlin, beloved wife of Francis X. Berlin, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her home in New Orleans, LA at the age of 93. Beverly was a native and life-long resident of Orleans Parish. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Brandon, and Ines Derbes Brandon; her brothers, Stanley, and Theodore Brandon; and her sister, Vivian Brandon Kern.
She is survived by: her devoted and loving husband of 72 years, Francis; son, Bruce Berlin (Cathy), of Clyde, NC; and many foster children including, Thomas Murphy (Judy), of Slidell, LA; Drew Anderson of the Isle of Malta; Kim Murphy Wolverson of Belize City, Belize, C.A.; brother-in-law, Daniel Berlin (Ina), of Covington, LA; many Nieces and nephews, including Sr. Theresa Berlin of Covington, LA; and many devoted friends, especially, Anita Caronia, Jimmy Harrelson, and Kathleen McGoey.
Beverly graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus High School. She lived her Catholic faith as a devoted wife, mother, and foster mother, selflessly caring for everyone. She was active in church and school organizations. She loved to knit, crochet, and cross stitch, offering many of her creations to friends, family, and charitable groups. She supported in any way she could the many Catholic parishes she lived in: Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Frances Cabrini, St. Maria Goretti, and St. Anthony of Padua.
Prior to Katrina Beverly and her husband lived at Malta Square Senior Living Center at Sacred Heart where they were very popular and made many friends with whom they enjoyed playing cards and many other games.
Special thanks to Concerned Care Home Health and Hospice, and Dr. David A. Myers for the professional and patient care extended to Beverly, and her devoted primary care giver, her loving husband, Francis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. Visitation begins at 9:30 A.M. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, preferred remembrances are: Donations to Covenant House, 611 North Rampart St. New Orleans, LA 70119.
