Edward Thomas Lestrade Sr.

Edward Thomas Lestrade, Sr. passed away peacefully on August 28, 2012, at the age of 91. He was a lifelong resident of Bucktown, LA, and was a commercial fisherman and co-founder of C & L Seafood. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Elaine Schaefer Lestrade, sons Edward Lestrade, Jr. (Georgette) and William Lestrade, daughter Darleen Vignes (Paul), seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his parents John and Gemma Lestrade; brother’s John, Jules and Frank; and great grandson Nathan Dayries. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII on the Pacific front from 1942-1945.

Relatives and friends of the family are welcome to attend a funeral service in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am
