so sorry to find out late about Aunt Ellie's passing.  I hope that y'all are comforted by how blessed we all were with her extraordinary and long life. I know she has been welcomed with open arms by Granny Goose, Grandma Bordelon, my daddy Butsie and especially Uncle Pudding Tane (Julian).

We will remember the days when we sat on your porch with your mother & family. She was always such a pleasant & lovely person. 
We know you will really miss her, but we also know that she has a very special place in heaven. We will pray for her and we know we will always be in her prayers.

MawMaw,
       We've been truly blessed to have you for so very long. Not many people get that opportunity.  Although, we'd like to keep you forever, that wouldn't be fair to the loved ones who have gone before. I will miss you, but there is so much of your spirit that remains.   You have left your mark and I am forever grateful for that. You were always a strong, witty, humorous, outgoing, forgiving and fair woman.  It made me a better person.  I also see so much of you in my dad.  You always told me that I was just like my dad “Julian Boy” and you would humbly put your head down and get teary eyed as you said those words each and every time. I was always honored to hear you say that.   
       I always loved when Jay and I were little and we got to go to the Kenilworth Mall once the piggy bank got filled. Our favorite was the orange juice bottles and our walks and talks across the street.  Then we would go get ice-cream from K&B – creole cream cheese.   That was always fun.   Also, the world would always stop as 11 a.m approached because Victor Newman was coming on.  You would even take the phone off the hook!   You always said Victor reminded you of Toot. So many memories, both on St. Rock and Morrison! So glad you were with us for Hurricane Katrina too because we all got to spend more time with you.           
         I think the all time best memory was when you would often dance with the mop and kick your legs to the “New York, New York” song regardless whether it was Sinatra or Minnelli singing.   You also loved “ Windchester Cathedral.”  Jay and I would giggle often at the entertainment you provided. Oh, thank you so very much for your musical sign you sent me not long after my mom called me to say you passed on.   It was a sign that you made it to your destination. Santa Claus came on t.v singing, “New York, New York!” I would often tell you stories about how I knew my Granny could hear me when I talked to her in heaven.  You believed that too.   Your sign is proof that I know you heard me.

"God looked around his garden and found an empty space.  Then, He looked down upon you and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best!"

Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part.

Mamaw,
You were the type of person that left a lasting impression on everyone that you met.  I have fond memories of you and I making pralines together.  You encouraged my love of baking with your love of desserts.  You were famous for saying “I will have just a little of that.  I need to save room for dessert.”  I would bring over my baked goodies to you and Papaw to test.  You would say to Papaw “Oh Daddy, this is such a treat!”

I remember when you and Papaw went with us to Disney World on vacation.  You came out ready to hit the pool in your version of a bathing suit including hat, umbrella and sunscreen.  You always said a girl's best friend is her hat and sunscreen.
 
I loved having a special connection to both of my grandparents that no one else shared; Papaw and I sharing a birthday together, and you and I with our blue eyes.

I miss all the wonderful time spent with my Mamaw and Papaw.

To my Mother- in -Law

You were always there for me when I became your Daughter- in -Law. You never turned me away.You listen to my problems and help me solve them. I will miss most of all, the times you and I had together, cooking, usually making fruit cake. I listened to your secrets and you listen to mine. I am grateful that I had you in my life and the lives of my Children and Grandchildren.  You gave me the best husband and father.  You taught , all of us so much, particularly to skip the meal and go right to the dessert.
You were the best Grandmother my children and grandchildren could ever ask for. I know you were tired and wanted to be with the best Father-in-law in the whole world. I just wish you could have stayed a little longer. 
 We will meet again and I will know you because you will be the only one with the hat and purse. I bet you will still have the framed picture of Kelly inside your purse. because you would say she was the girl you never had. You will always be in my heart. I will love and miss you till we meet again.

Maw maw so many memories of my life included you and Paw paw. I learned so much and had so many good times with you both. You trusted me to drive you around at the age of 15 and that meant so much to me. Not too many trusted me with that.  You showed me that sparking up a conversation with a complete stranger is a good thing, and I now do it all the time. Growing up there wasn't a week that went by that we didn't see each other and spend time together.  Having such wonderful grandparents made me the man I am today.

Maw Maw Ellie, so many wonderful memories with you, I don't know where to begin. Most of my favorite were when you babysat me on Morrison Rd. and when you lived with us for a short while after Katrina. Whether it be me dancing and singing for you, giving the dolls a makeover, or just listening to your stories (my favorite when you met Paw Paw Toot) we always had a good time together. I am so blessed God gave me you in my life. You taught me life is too short not to enjoy, because you were the life of the party. You also graced me with your sweet, loving, and humorous personality that I will always be grateful for. I love and miss you, and will one day see you again with Paw Paw Toot.

Wisdoms of MawMaw:
-"Eat the potato skins, it has vitamins."
-"Watch what you eat, you gotta keep your figure."
-"Just close your eyes and rest them for awhile (which results in a 3 hour nap)."
-"No one eats lunch until after Young and the Restless is over."
