George W Kaupp Jr.

George William Kaupp, Jr., 88 of Metairie, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Colonial Oaks Living Center. George was born in New Orleans Parish on October 13, 1925, son of the late Laura Inch Alberts Kaupp Daubert and George W. Kaupp, Sr. and Francis Daubert whom he considered as his real father. George is survived by his brother Alvin F. Daubert (wife Deanna, deceased) and is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Alice Cook Kaupp, his brothers Earl Alberts, Sr., Milton George Kaupp and Merlin Charles Kaupp. Also survived by sisters-in-law Sheila Cook, Beverly Cook and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. George was a World War II Navy Veteran and served on the USS Lexington and a retiree of Verges Sheet Metal.

Services will be held in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans on Monday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends between 9:00 A.M. and service time. Members of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 214 are also invited to attend. Entombment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum.
