So sorry that I was not able to attend the service for Jim.  Carol said that she would share my condolence with you.  I understand the experience with the loss of a husband, and I think about you often.  Sorry that I could not get a message to you any sooner; Isaac and Leo kept me very busy at that time and I was without computer almost two months. Love to you and your family.

I would like to thank everyone who came to pay respects to my dad. The large turnout proved how much people really care and how much he was loved. For those of you who couldnt make it , thank you for your kind words, they were a great comfort to our family.

To the Heraty family,

I am a friend and neighbor of Steve and Ashlie. Mr. Heraty must be so proud to know that his son and daughter-in-law are such genuinly nice, not to mention generous, people. They are what neighbors are meant to be. 

I enjoyed looking at the photo gallery. It looks like his life was full of happy, fun times. I am so sorry for your loss, but I have no doubt God will take good care of him.

Miss Daryl and boys, God Bless You all. I have many happy memories of times spent with your family, when I was growing up. I am so sorry I could not make the funeral. My prayers are with you and Mr. Jim. God holds each of us in His hand. God Bless You.

Jimmy, I am sorry for your loss. Deepest condolences to you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with this wonderful family. Mr. Jim was a great man. I'll always remember the great times.  Especially our big circle of friends New Year's Eve singing "You never even called me by my name" and "Luckenbach Texas" and etc. And peeling crawfish for Mr. Jim so he could make crawfish omelets for breakfast.  Also, cutting his hair for many years. Such wonderful memories !!!

Watching Jim with his sons showed me what family truly was and gave me something to aspire to be when I became a father.  He will be missed dearly by all and his openness and generosity touched everyone he ever encountered.  We should all be so lucky to leave such a beautiful and lasting legacy.
