Jesse J. Johnston, Jr., age 68, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved husband of 39 years to Gayle Johnston. Loving father of David C. and Shaun M. Johnston. Grandfather of David H. Johnston. Brother of Debra Lester and Paula Scott. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Pauline Johnston, sister, Linda Ann, and brother, Dennis. Jesse is a retiree from The Times-Picayune, and from the Reserve National Guard. He was a member of the Krewe of Centurions. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 10:00 to noon at Jacob Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., N.O., LA.
