Judy was a remarkable woman. We at Pontchartrain Baptist Church were blessed to spend some time with her after her cousin Alice's Mom passed. She was welcoming, funny, loving and had a joy in her. We are praying for all of you during this time of loss, may the grief be replaced by the knowledge that Jesus is holding her in His arms and she is enjoying heavan.

For my sweet former neighbor, Judy...a light on Coliseum Square and far beyond.

I am Diane Davis Mouille, married to Judy's oldest brother, Ogden, whom she and her sister Gerri dearly called "Brudda".  We live 6 hours away from New Orleans. All day, Moe (Brudda)) has been grieving about his baby sister Judy.  We have had so many caring thoughts from our friends on Facebook, and calls and visits from our immediate family.  We are so grateful that just two months ago, we were able to spend time with Judy and Jim and Lucky and her other siblings, and laugh and talk and share memories, while she was still able to.  We have pictures of those precious times, that we will treasure always. Tomorrow we will travel to New Orleans to share in the celebration of Judy's life and to do whatever we can to comfort.

Although they may be expressed eloquently and are from the heart, words alone will not replace the pain you feel during these times.  Know that as the weeks and months go by your pain will be replaced with the sweet, sweet memories of Judy's life; a loving wife and mother memories of her will forever be embossed in your minds, never ever to be lost.  They are our sustenance as we travel along life's journey. 
Even as we grieve, Alice and I remain at your beckon call for any needs your have.  Family relations are so important in our lives; when the bad times confront us we are cemented together by our love for one another.  Your loss is our loss as well; Judy meant so very much to us and to our lives.
