Mavis Johnson Conravey

Mavis Johnson Conravey passed on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Earl H. Conravey and her mother and father, Evelyn Matherne Johnson and

Clarence Johnson, and brother, Clarence R. Johnson. She is survived by a sister, Audrey Johnson Haisch Vicknair, two daughters, Nancy Conravey and Carolyn Levy, son-in-law, Mary J, Levy and two grandchildren, Nicole R. and Jacob M. Levy. She is also survived by nine nephews and one niece. She was also preceded in death by two nephews, John Conravey, III and Robert Haisch, Jr. Mavis was born in New Orleans and lived there for 63 years before moving to Pearl River in 1992. She was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pearl River.

Family and friends may visit at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday Morning beginning at 9:30 A.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Mausoleum. The family requests a donation to Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Pearl River in lieu of flowers.
