Otis E. Bourgeois Sr.

Otis E. Bourgeois, Sr. on Saturday, March 31, 2012, peacefully entered into eternal rest at the age of 92.

Born on May 28, 1919 in Lecompte, LA to the late Elizabeth Clark Bourgeois and the late Robert M. Bourgeois. Reared in Mid-City and a resident of Slidell for the past 20 years. The last one of seven sons.

Loving husband for 59 years of the late Ethel Alfonso Bourgeois. Proud father of Carolyn Steele (Dwalyn), Geraldine (Nunny) Levis (James) and Otis E. Bourgeois, Jr. (Destiana).

Also survived by six grandchildren, Elizabeth Galy, Allison Obure, Gerald Levis, Jamie Cefolia, Nicole Hackney, Nicholas Bourgeois, and preceded in death by Jarrett Bourgeois. Also survived by 12 great grandchildren. Faithful friend of Scarlett Maness and Family.

Otis was an avid golfer in his younger days, belonging to City Park, St. John and Oak Harbor Golf Clubs. He never lost the concept of the reality of Life.

Former employee of New Orleans Public Service and the Fairgrounds Race Track. A resident of Camellia Gardens in Slidell since Hurricane Katrina.
