
Theodore Clement Yancovich, Jr. passed away on March 13, 2012 at the age of 86 after a 10 year battle with kidney disease. He was the devoted only child of the late Antoinette Schneller and Theodore Clement Yancovich. Ted was a native of New Orleans, LA and a 46 year resident of Jefferson, LA. He was an avid duck hunter and sport fisherman in Plaquemines Parish and enjoyed woodworking. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a dedicated 35 year employee of Louisiana Power and Light (now Entergy). He will be fondly remembered as a kind and gentle man and deeply missed. Beloved “Uncle Theo” of Jane V. Philibert, Edw. J. “Buzzy” Vanderbrook III, Alfred J., Jr. and Susan Ann Watson. Cousin of Enola D. Balliviero, Joyce D. Frugia, Leonard Dazet, Jr., and the late Everard and Marcus Yancovich, Jr., Louis D. and Alvin J. Troyani, E.J. Vanderbrook, Jr., and Lorraine V. Watson. A special thanks to his faithful dedicated caretaker Faye Taylor.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time. .Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA.
