Audrey Marion Thompson

Audrey Marion Thompson, 84, passed away April 6, 2016, in her home surrounded by loved ones. Audrey was born to Marion and Adrienne (Sayles) Parsons on August 15, 1931 in Fallon, NV. Since the beginning, she became a hard worker as she helped on her family’s dairy farm. In the 1940’s her family moved to Roswell, ID. She graduated from Parma High School.

On April 7, 1962, Audrey married Delmer Wayne Thompson. They started out in Council, ID and later settled in New Plymouth, ID for the last 50 years. Together, they raised six of their own children (three from Audrey’s previous marriage) and helped raise countless others.

Audrey always loved to be surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, and playing pinochle.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Delmer Thompson; her sons, Butch Ledbetter, Bill Ledbetter, Wayne Thompson and Ed Thompson; her daughters, Linda Paulin and Janet Wiley; her sisters, Nancy Meckert and Peggy Simonson; several grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

On Monday, April 11, 2016 in New Plymouth there will be a viewing at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel at 11 a.m., the service at 2 p.m., burial will follow at Park View Cemetery.
