D. George Tucker was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica to Norman and Lucetta Tucker on June 25th, 1937. He sadly passed away on Wednesday, July 8th 2015, at 8:00pm, at the age of 78 after suffering from a stroke. He resided in New Rochelle, NY and died at Montifore Hospital in New Rochelle, NY.
He was a police officer in Jamaica and was later promoted to Detective at the Criminal Investigation Division. He subsequently immigrated to the United States in 1964 and shortly thereafter met the love of his life, Miss Daphney Armstrong. They were united in holy matrimony on June 5th, 1965. He later attended Queens College majoring in sociology. He worked as a Court Officer in the Family Courts in the City of New York. Later he decided to change careers and established Crystal Studios Photography with a concentration in industrial construction photography.
George accepted the Lord at a young age. The framework of his life was built around his Christian beliefs. He was a member of the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church. His desire was to make positive changes in people with whom he interacted. He was an active member of the International Christian Photographers since 1990 and served as president. He was looking forward to attending the yearly conference in September of this year.
George was an avid traveler and visited many countries. He was fascinated with nature and different cultures. He enjoyed experiencing a variety of international cuisines. He loved soccer, fishing, swimming, and snorkeling.
He demonstrated, throughout his life, the values of family, friends, and faith, and leaves behind a legacy of how to give, rather than take; show compassion, rather than selfishness; and love rather than pride.
