Rollan Dorsinville

Born April 4, 1921 to the late Luc Dorsinville and Claire Guiteau in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Rollan was educated at L’Ecole Petit Seminaire College St. Martial. He was employed as an accountant in Haiti for many years.

At age 26 he married Lucienne Gros. They shared over 60 years of marriage. She preceded him in death.

Rollan emigrated to the United States in 1964 where he attended Mercy College to further his education. He worked at the Fountainhead Catering Company until he retired. He resided in New Rochelle until his death.

He leaves 3 brothers, 1 sister, 6 children: Marie Gallman (Jimmy), Emmeline Edwards (Ross), Chantal, Rolande Dubois (Gerald), Emmanuel (Nicole), and Stephane (Karen); 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
