Theresa Semenza

Theresa Nota Semenza of New Rochelle passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. Theresa was born in 1933 in Queens, N.Y. to Frank and Josephine Nota, where she was raised and educated, graduating from Newtown High School in 1951. She has been a New Rochelle resident since 1957. On August 25, 1957 she married Charles Semenza Jr. at St. Leo’s Church in Queens, N.Y. . Theresa was a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church where she was a member of the Blessed Mothers Sodality and received a gold pin for her outstanding achievements. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Charles and her loving children Charles III, Stephen and Mary Ellen Morelli, daughters-in-laws Debbie and Nancy and son-in-law Gregory Morelli. She is also survived by her six grandchildren who were the light of her life: Danny, Timmy, Nicholas, John, Christopher and Alexandra, as well as her sister, Anna Saladino. Theresa was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Family will receive visitors Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.. A mass of Christian burial will be Monday 9:30 A.M. at Holy Name of Jesus Church with interment to follow at the Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Theresa’s memory to Holy Name of Jesus Church, 75 Lispenard Ave., New Rochelle, N.Y. 10801.
