Bobbie June Deaton

Bobbie June Deaton, aged 92, passed away on December 21, 2025. Bobbie June was born on June 25, 1933. She was a resident of Thorn Hill, Tennessee. Bobbie was a member of Springdale Missionary Baptist Church.

She raised her family in Ohio but always loved Tennessee. Bobbie's favorite activity was going to church, and her favorite possession was her family. She also enjoyed fishing and farming. Bobbie was known for singing in churches throughout the community. A true matriarch Bobbie was a strong influence on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she will be deeply missed by them all.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Levi Deaton, parents James and Vena McDaniel, brother Leon McDaniel, and sisters Velva Coffey and Beulah Dalton.

She is survived by her brother Chester McDaniel. Sister Lena Coffey. Son James Deaton. Daughter Freda Qurshi. Grandchildren Lorae Deaton, Levi Deaton, Micah Qurshi, Shah Qurshi, and Heather Hairston. Great Grandchildren McKenzie Qurshi, Keean Qurshi, and Aidan Hairston. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday December 27, 2025 from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Sunday December 28, 2025 at 2 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will follow in New Bethel Cemetery.
