It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Craig Steven Susong, who left us on October 19th. 2025 at the age of fifty-nine. Born in Pineville, Kentucky on December 29th, 1965, he was a devoted parent, brother, and son.
He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. Craig found great joy in working on the farm and spending time hunting and fishing, passions that connect him with the outdoors.
He was dedicated to his work at Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, where he was continually working to preserve the land and history of the area.
Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Pendleton Susong. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Chester Susong, his son Steven (Victoria); twin brother, Clark (Lynette); niece, (Lindsay); nephew, (Cyle); sister, (Lisa); and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Coffey Funeral Home, Harrogate, Tennessee. Funeral service follows at 7:00 PM with Reverend Stewart Fultz presiding.
Family and friends will meet at Coffey Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, at 9:00 AM to travel in procession to the family farm, where graveside services will be held.
Pallbearers will be Steven Susong, Cyle Susong, Harold Pendleton, Jr. Terry Cavin, Jerry Hatmaker, and Scottie Hunley.
