Damon Ray Turner

Damon Ray Turner was born September 24, 1967 and passed away on January 31, 2013 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Joe Turner and grandparents, Jimmy Ray and Edna Henderson. He was an honorably discharged Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid baseball fan who loved the New York Yankees. He was employed at Claiborne County Hospital and Laurel Manor Nursing Home where he found a passion for caring for his patients.

He is survived by his loving Wife: Pamela Venable Turner

Two Daughters: Brittney Turner

Beth and James Johnston

One Son: T.J. Turner

Parents: Janice and Carl Muncy and Avitt Turner

Grandchildren: Tayleigh McKenna Burdine and Brantley James Johnston

Sisters: Patricia Turner, Kathy and Tony Carroll and Louetta Turner

Brothers: Timothy Turner all of Tazewell, TN

William and Brandi Muncy of Middlesboro, Ky

Father & Mother-in-law: Doug and Brenda Venable of Tazewell, TN

And a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M. Sunday February 3,2013 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 8:00 P.M. Sunday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Cook Cemetery, at Pleasant View with Military Honors at 11:00 A.M. Monday.
