Danny William Burrus Sr.

He was born in Dayton OH. When he was in high school, he began his vocational career in welding. At 17, he enlisted in the Army to serve his country. Throughout his lifetime, Danny was a jack-of-all trades, but his favorite job was being a truck-driver. He was also a wonderful and loving father, who did everything he could for his children and grandchildren. Danny loved to 'piddle', as he called it and spending time at the beach, where he tried his best to catch fish. He was a free spirit who never missed out on a good time with friends and family. Danny was a great story-teller and during his lifetime he never once met a stranger.

Danny is preceded in death by his father Karl Burrus, mother Doris Burrus, brother Michael Wahl, son J.C. Coffman, mother of his children and best friend Barbara Burrus.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher (Jayde) Coffman and Danny (Olivia) Burrus Jr. Grandchildren; Austin Coffman, Tori Coffman, Madison Coffman, Max Coffman, Macie Coffman, and Hallie Burrus. Special sister and friend Wendy Bennett. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday December 2, 2024 from 10 AM until 12 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. The graveside service will follow in the Clemons Cemetery in Thorn Hill.
