Denvil Whitaker

Denvil Whitaker, age 68, passed away March 12, 2020 at his home. He was born on July 27, 1951 to the late Harley B and Bertha Fultz Whitaker. Denvil served two years in the United States Army. He worked at Claiborne Farmers CO-OP in New Tazewell for many years. He farmed many years until his health declined. Denvil loved hunting and riding 4-wheelers with his children and grandson. Denvil was saved by the grace of God as a young man.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years Karen Keck Whitaker. Son Robby Whitaker and wife Ashley. Daughter Jessica Whitaker and fiancé Randall Young. Grandson Dustin Whitaker. Step granddaughter Madison Collins. Sister Louetta Lyttle of Colorado. Brothers Harley B Jr and wife Alberta of Indiana, John and wife Lisa of Tazewell. Brother-in-laws Richard Keck, Scott Keck and wife Debbie. Several nephews and nieces and many friends and neighbors that have helped while he has been sick.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Brothers David Whitaker and wife Ruby, Dennis Whitaker. Brother-in-law Ken Lyttle. mother and father-in-law Ual and June Keck. Special thanks to Dr. Fred Hurst for being such a blessing to us. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. in Coffey Funeral Home chapel. Graveside service will be Sunday March 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bethel Cemetery on Cave Springs Road with military honors.
