Donald Tilford Whiteaker

Mr. Donald T. Whiteaker age 84 of Tazewell, TN was born August 23, 1927 and passed away February 16, 2012 at Claiborne County Nursing Home. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He was a farmer and carpenter. He worked on the R & O Boats of the Great lakes years ago. He was an avid fisherman and loved to eat them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Hurst Whiteaker; brothers, Gene & Elmer Whiteaker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years: Gladys Whiteaker of Tazewell, TN

Daughter: Jennifer (Johnny) Collett of Georgetown, KY

Sons: Roy Dell (Karen) Whiteaker of Tazewell, TN

Jeffrey Whiteaker of Tazewell, TN

Sister: Joyce (Wade) Honeycutt of Tazewell, TN

Grandchildren: Tanner Collett, Joanna & Rachel Collett, Christian & Chesnee Whiteaker

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 P.M. Sunday February 19, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service 3:00 P.M. Sunday February 19, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Bethel Cemetery.
