Douglas L. Murphy

Douglas Lynn Murphy, age 70 passed away peacefully on September5, 2014, at his home in the arms of his son. He was a born again Christian and a great example of a Christian and loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Edward and Teresa Estelle Murphy and step-mother Oretta M. Murphy; brothers: Thomas J. Murphy and Anthony Joseph Murphy and sister Carolyn Peters.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Frances E. Murphy

Son: Steven D. Murphy and finance Tammy Hopper

Great Step-grandchildren: Hannah and Haley Hopper

The family will receive friends Sunday September 7, 2014 from 6-7pm at the Coffey Funeral home in Harrogate, TN with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm , graveside service will be Monday September 8th , 2014 at 11:00am in the Greasy hollow cemetery in Speedwell. TN
