Harry Lee “Butch” Sivils, age 73, of New Tazewell, TN, passed into the afterlife on October 31, 2025. Harry was born on September 18, 1952, in Middlesboro, KY, the son of Ray Tyler Sivils and Evelyn Joann Nunn Sivils, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Terry Ray Sivils.
Harry Lee “Butch” Sivils worked as a millwright at Ford Motor Company in Monroe, MI, for over thirty years before retiring to New Tazewell, TN, where he and his surviving brother, Billy Wayne Sivils, cared for each other in the sunset years of his life.
Harry is also survived by five sons: Jason Sivils of Louisville, KY; Danny Sivils and partner Kristy of Monroe, MI; Ryan Sivils and wife, and their family of Monroe, MI; Justin Sivils and wife Stacey of Saline, MI; and Sean Sivils and wife Amanda of Tecumseh, MI.
He is also survived by many grandchildren: Shelby “Sunshine” Sivils, Jaylen Sivils, Jacob Sivils, Joseph Sivils, James Sivils, Joshua Sivils, Bella Sivils, and Olivia Sivils, along with numerous cousins and friends.
The family will hold a small private viewing at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell, TN, on Monday November 3, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Cemetery in Little Sycamore.
