Hazel Sue Root

Hazel Sue Root of Camden Ohio was born September 2, 1943 and passed away on April 16, 2018 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital after an extended illness. She was survived by her husband Jeff Root of 30 years, her daughter Melissa Slayback and only grandchild Sophia Slayback of Trenton, OH., brother Tom Hoskins of Tazewell, TN., many nieces and nephews also in TN and many friends in OH. Preceded in death by her mother America Hoskins and father Dan Hoskins, brothers Odell Hoskins and Junior Hoskins, sister Calvie Hoskins all of Tazewell, TN. She attended Posttown Church of God in Middletown, OH for many years until she was unable to be in crowds. She enjoyed gospel music, telling stories around bon fires and watching her granddaughter dance. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held on April 21, 2018 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN from 11am-2pm with graveside service to follow.
