Hugh Franklin Hardin

Hugh F. Hardin, Sr, age 88, of Tazewell was born January 3, 1929 and passed away on May 7, 2017 at his home with his family at his side. Hugh served in the US Army and retired from TDOT as a bridge inspector. He was a member of Tazewell Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents E.J. Hardin Jr and Mattie Jennings Hardin. His wives, Helen Bundren Hardin and Gonyou Harmon Hardin. His twin brother, E.J Hardin III and his sister, Pauline Hardin McCollough.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Catherine Fannon and Bill Fannon

Grandchildren; William Ryan and wife Jennifer Fannon; Jennifer and Jad Farmer of Knoxville; and Hugh Spencer Hardin of Knoxville.

The family will have a graveside service with military honors at 11 A.M. Tuesday May 9th in the Irish Memorial Gardens E.J. “Rusty” Hardin IV will be officiating. Singer will be Barbara Hatfield. Pallbearers will be nephews and grandsons.
