James Edward Holt

He was a member of Lone Holly Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harvey and Julia Holt; sisters, Ruby, Lillian and Ethel. His sister, Delta, followed him “Home” just a few hours after his death. Brothers Cass, Shade, Wright, June and Fred also preceded him in death as did his grandson, James “Adam” Hitch and wife, Gladys Brewer Holt.

He is survived by his daughters, Penny Wood of Knoxville, TN and Peggy (Jack) Hitch of Maryville, TN. Grandchildren: Rayli Wood and Reece Wood; Kelli Hitch Huskey and husband, Scott and Holly Hitch McCampbell and husband, Will. Great grandchildren: Evan and Jenna Huskey, Anthony and Addison Hitch, Madeline, Cole and Cate McCampbell, Adam and Abel Wolfenbarger.

We appreciate Daddy’s caregiver, Sharon Mullins, for all her help. Daddy absolutely loved little children! He was the hardest working man we ever knew!

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Sat., Feb. 27, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2:00PM Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with rev. Jerry Epperson officiating. Music by Brenda Reed.

Burial will follow in the Raven Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jack Hitch, Scott Huskey, Will McCampbell, Lester Holt, Ronnie Holt and Ed England.
