James Lee Whitworth

James Lee Whitworth, age 68, of New Tazewell TN, was born November 12, 1948 and passed away on October 18, 2017. James was a devoted father, grandfather and loving husband. He enjoyed fishing and softball. He was a graduate of The University of Tennessee and a life long Vols fan. James was owner of Whitworth Dental Laboratory in Knoxville for years. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. James was loved by many and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by parents Harry Whitworth and Pauline Nelson Whitworth, father and mother-in-law Claude Poore and Pauline Poore, sister Doris Adams, daughter Amanda Lee LaFone, nephew Danny Buck. He is survived by his wife Martha Whitworth. Son Stacy Whitworth and wife Felicia Whitworth. Daughters Cari-Anne Oakes and Beth Selvey and husband Will Selvey. Grandchildren Olivia Wilson and husband Bryston Wilson, Zoe Selvey, Emma Selvey, Lily LaFone and Mary LaFone. Great grandson Rhyett Wilson. Life long friends Mary Lou Teague, Mike Holtzclaw, Greg Dickson, Steve Dyer and Mike Reece. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A graveside service will be held Friday October 20th at 2 PM in Irish Memorial Garden. Minister Rev. Robert Minton and Dennis Reece. Pallbearers Mike Reece, Steve Dyer, Bryston Wilson, Will Selvey, Jerry Oakes and Michael Reece. Coffey funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
