Jessee James Coffey

Mr. Jessie James Coffey age 85 of Tazewell, TN was born March 29, 1926 and passed away November 21, 2011 at his home. He was a member of Lone Mountain Baptist Church where he attended regularly until his illness. He lived life to its fullest. He loved to play pranks and joke around with everyone. He loved to help family and friends. He loved his garden each year and especially planting his watermelons, having watermelon cuttings and giving them away to family and friends. He drove a school bus for Claiborne County for 41 years until he retired in 1990. He also worked for Coffey Funeral Home and Fairview Cemetery for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Cornnie Arnold Coffey; brother, Don Coffey and sister, Sara Lynn Coffey. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Ruth Coffey

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 P.M. Tuesday November 22, 2011 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Wednesday November 23, 2011 at Coffey Funeral Home chapel. The body will lie in state 30 minutes before Funeral Service. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery.
