She was a retired cosmetologist and original co-owner of South Fork Truck Stop Restaurant.
Jewell was an active member of New Tazewell Christian Church. She devoted her life to helping others and greatly enjoyed this.
Her special interest in life was helping children, elderly, the poor, and stopping animal abuse.
Jewel is preceded in death by sons Brian and David Rush; husband Ray B. Davis; baby La-Shell Nichole; granddaughters Serena Rush and Alyssa Rush; brothers Ned, Ralph, and Tony Wolfenbarger; step-child Fred Davis; parents Katherine Hannigan, Vinyard (Ben) Wolfenbarger.
Jewell leaves behind husband Robert (Bob) Sparks; sisters Barbara Larson (FL), Pam Francil (Boston), Nancy McCarthy (Boston); brothers Danny, and Gary Wolfenbarger (Knoxville) Jim L. Wolfenbarger (FL); stepchildren, Julie Davis, Melinda Munsey (Knoxville), Ray Sparks (Maynardville), Steve Thompson (Knoxville); four grandchildren and seven great step grandchildren; and a host of family and special friends.
Visitation will be Friday November 29, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral services to follow. Graveside will be at the Barnard-Winkler Cemetery in Sneedville (TN) at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024.
