Ahyoka is a Cherokee word that means "bringer of happiness", which is exactly what this sweet little girl was.
Journey was a freshman at Claiborne High School. She was the sweetest most kind child who fiercely loved her family and friends, but her animals maybe even more. She was a defender of everything she loved and cared for. She was tough as nails and sweet as a morning sunrise. Journey had the ability to touch a heart in ways that could never be properly described. She will be missed by all who knew her, but she had such a bright spirit that her memory will remain steadfast by those who knew her.
Her spirit and soul will live on through her devoted, loving parents, Miles Copley and Tiffany Parker, stepmother, Bri Copley, siblings, Phillip Bolden, Karma Parker, and Jordan Ayers, grandparents, Sandy and Phil Parker, her "Nana" Melissa Dishon, her auntie Mae-Mae (Megan) Parker, and countless friends and other family members.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, burial to follow in the Greer Cemetery in New Tazewell.
Pallbearers: Miles Copley, Mike Copley, Eric Champlin, Phillip Bolden, Trevor Ayers, Nathan Cunningham
