Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Collins Lane, step-father, Neil Lane, husband, Raymond Bolden, son, Steve Bolden, grandchildren Dustin Jarnigan, Angel Bolden, and brother, Steve (Stella) Collins.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Terry (Pam) Bolden and Gary (Cindy) Bolden, and her daughters, Pam Collins and Diane (Chester) Jarnigan, all of Thorn Hill. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley (Rev. Arnold) Dalton of Thorn Hill, Judy (Ellis) Helton of Morristown, and Peggy (Frank) Myers of Thorn Hill. Joyce leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a special niece, Brenda Bolden.
Joyce's faith was an integral part of her life; she was saved at an early age and remained a devoted member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to sing and regularly visited other churches in the community.
Joyce loved flowers of all kinds and spent much of her time tending to her garden. Her flowers were not only a source of joy for her but also a topic of conversation among neighbors and family members.
The family will receive friends Tuesday May 14, 2024 from 6 until 8 PM at Coffey Funeral. The funeral service will be Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 10 AM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Clemons Cemetery in Thorn Hill.
