Leonard White Brooks

Rev. Leonard “Pete” Brooks age 79 of New Tazewell, TN was born October 10, 1933 and passed away July 14, 2013 at his home. He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. He pastored many Baptist Church including Cedar Fork, Alanthis Hill, Locust Grove, Wolfenbarger, Calvary, Midway, Lone Mountain, Springdale, Mountain View and Chadwell Station in Virginia, Red Hill in Middlesboro, Ky. He worked at Donlin Sportswear and Claiborne County Board of Education. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Rev. Bob and Ethel Hargraves Brooks; sister, Gladys Pressnell, Brothers, Rev. Ulysses Brooks and Rev. Wallace Brooks and Joe Brooks.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Gwen Earl Brooks of New Tazewell, TN

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 9 P.M. Tuesday July 16, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 17, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Irish Memorial Gardens.
