Levi Deaton

Mr. Levi Deaton age 87 of Thorn Hill, TN was born January 31, 1929 in Breathitt County, KY and passed away Saturday June 18, 2016 at home after a short illness. He retired after 31 years of service from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio, then moved to Thorn Hill, TN in 1981. He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church where he was a faithful and loyal member. He loved to fish and farm but most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sarah Turner Deaton; brother Wilson Deaton and sisters, Bertha Notestein, Martha Raleigh, Bessie Simms, 4 step brothers and 1 step sister.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years: Bobbie Deaton

Son: James Deaton

Grandchildren: Shah (Libby), Micah and Heather Qurshi (Marlon Hairston), Lorae and June Marie Deaton

Great Grandchildren: McKenzie and Keean Qurshi and Aidan Hairston

Brother: Luther Deaton

2 Sisters: Millie Noble and Sue Fox

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday June 22, 2016 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state 30 minutes before service. Burial in the New Bethel Cemetery.
