Mary Joy Mason

Joy was baptized in 1979 and was a member of the Chapel of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sharps Chapel, TN. Joy was a loving homemaker who dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her family centered on the love of Christ. She lived out her faith daily caring for her family and offering kindness to everyone she met. The wife of a service man, Joy stood by her husband through thick and thin. She loved baking sweet treats, shopping, flowers, watching movies, taking long scenic country drives and going on walks with her loved ones. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family and grandbabies. The only thing that outshone her warm smile was her strength and trust in the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mary Lana and Lester Wooten. Brother Cecil Wooten. Sister Carol (Luther) Mason.

Joy is survived by her husband of 61 years Clayton Mason. Daughters Lisa (Tom) Leith and Tonia Cruze. Grandchildren Stephanie Kleczynski, Robert Kleczynski, Nicholas (Drew Ann) Kleczynski, Matthew Leith, Tiffany Leith and Susie (Logan) Dunsmore. Sister Lana Frazier. Brothers-in-Law Wayne Mason and Robert Mason. Sisters-in-Law Norma (Tony) Niemotka, Edna (Randy) Austin, Virginia Pesch, Axie (Randall) Faulkner, Mary (Dave) Sieja and Bessie Wooten. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday December 30, 2024 from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday December 31, 2024 at 10 AM in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.
