Imogene was born on August 2, 1933 to Everette V. and Myrtle Cook Seal, on Newman's Ridge in Hancock County, TN. She married Lloyd Everette Cook on February 20, 1954.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Lois Haley, her brothers Henry Joe Seal and Everette V. Seal, Jr., her daughter Linda Lois and son Lloyd E. Cook and her son-in-law Ronnie "Hawkeye" Jones. Also her brothers and sisters-in-law Vester and Allie Bea Cook, John and Joy Cook, Kyle and Mable Cook. Foster sister-in-law and husband Birdie and Joe Green.
She is survived by her brothers Edward and R.J. Seal. Her daughter Brenda Jones. Her sons Roger and Robert Cook. Her dearly loved granddaughter Sarah (Cody) West and great grandsons Carter and Claude West. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Indian Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving and faithful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an excellent seamstress and the best cook ever according to her son-in-law who loved to eat.
The family also wants to thank the staff of Hancock Manor for taking such good care of Imogene.
The family will receive friends Thursday June 13, 2024 from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held Friday June 14, 2024 at 11 AM in the Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery. Family requests everyone meet at the cemetery.
