

Ray Winstead, age 86 of Thorn Hill, TN went to be with the lord on Sunday morning February 3, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith and joined Bridgeport Missionary Baptist at an early age. Ray was a veteran of 2 wars; World War II and Korean War. Preceded in death by father and mother Clay and Martha (Dalton) Winstead and Dixie Winstead; Brothers, Lillard, Rob, and Fred (Snook)Winstead; sisters,Faye Hipsher and Ethel Welch. Survived by son and daughter in-law, Larry and Kathy Winstead of Rutledge; Grandson, Scott and wife Patty Winstead of Jefferson City; Grandaughter, Michelle and husband Adam Williams of Rutledge; 4 great great grandchildren; Aaron and Shelby Winstead, and Tori and Lexi Williams; Sisters, Grace Kincaid of Thorn Hill, and Iris Wilson of Strawplains; Sister in-law, Betty Winstead of Russellville; And a host of nieces and nephews; Very special friends; Rick, Lisa, Cory, Megan,and Jaylon Johnson of Athens. Funeral services will be at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 5,2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Coffey Funeral Home and funeral will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Jerry Epperson officiating, Reverend Arnold Dalton for Prayer. Singers: The Epperson family singers. Pallbearers: Frank and Elmer Kincaid, Scott Winstead, Adam Williams, John K. Hipsher, and Cory Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Winstead, Richard (Dicky) Winstead, Aaron Winstead, Leon Kincaid, Coy (Hot)Dalton, Jerry Jones, David(Hob) Jones, Jamie Dalton and Blake Thatatr.
